The Women's Business Connection is a member driven initiative to create an event to benefit women business owners or women team members. Our goal is to have speakers that will offer educational, useful information that is applicable in professional and/or personal growth.

About Jo Wilson:

Jo grew up in Iowa and moved to Arizona in High School    She attended the University of Arizona for her undergraduate degree and ASU for her graduate work.  Her educational teaching journey began at Alhambra Elementary school district prior to teaching at Westwood High School in Mesa.   in 1970 she accepted a position at MCC where she taught and served as department chair for 20 years.   In 1990 she took on her first administrative position as the Occupation Academic Dean for 10 years followed by 2 years as Director of extended campus.  Her final 10 years with MCC was spent as Provost of the Red. Mt. Campus.  She  then became the start up administrator for Benedictine University in Downtown Mesa.

Jo has served on many community boards including United Way, Mesa Art Center Foundation, Mesa Chamber, EVIT foundation, Foster 360 and the city Economic Development Advisory Board.  She is a past president of the Mesa Rotary Club.   In 2010 She was named Mesa’s Woman of the Year.

Jo has been married to Don for 57 years.   They have 2 children, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
