REMEMBER… HONOR…TEACH

The above words are the motto for Wreaths Across America.  How true these words are to honor our Veterans!

We need your help.  For the 3^rd year, I am the location coordinator for the Mountain View Cemetery.  The last two years we have successfully honored all the Veterans who have been interred in that cemetery as well as assist in other cemeteries.

This year, on December 16, 2023, (Saturday), we will be holding a ceremony at 9:30am and 10am start laying the wreaths to honor the individual Veterans graves. (See flyer).  But we are having trouble finding sponsors.  For $17 a wreath, you will be able to honor one veteran’s grave.  Wreaths Across America also will give $5 back to our own community for us to assist in helping Veterans.

So far, we have had many individuals donate towards purchasing wreaths as well as corporate sponsors such as America First Credit Union, Crescent Crown, and Purple Heart Chapter 2960.  But we need more help.  We have 400 more wreaths to go!

We also have coordinated with The Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 2560, VFW and VFW Auxiliary Post 7968 and 9399, Daughters of the American Revolution and Army Aviation Heritage Foundation.  If other organizations would like to join in and help, please let me know!
