The purpose of this council is to gather the talent and subject matter experts in technology that they may network together, coordinate on issues an items that universally affect them al and support the Chamber’s ongoing work to create the “Mesa Digital Economy”, lifting Mesa’s Business Community into a new, higher technology awareness and implementation mode of operation. This meeting is virtual, RSVP'd attendees will receive a zoom link prior to the meeting start.

As the Executive Director for the Arizona Advanced Manufacturing Institute (AzAMI), Leah has established a proven record of transformative and innovative results with over 20 years of experience forging industry partnerships and sector collaborations  providing  needed solutions for training    workforce talent.  With  Arizona’s economy rapidly growing, Leah has developed workforce implementation strategies for the manufacturing sector, delivering competency-based training skills in aerospace, semiconductor, automation, robotics, electronics, 3D printing, drafting, machining and welding programs effectively addressing the growing workforce demands in Arizona. Her expertise is strategic planning for the new manufacturing technologies such as Electric Vehicle that will require program design, resources, and building a systems approach supported by collaborative processes with other institutions. AzAMI has recently engaged in deploying multi-college,  accelerated technician training for hundreds of students in Maricopa to meet both the scope and scale of the growing demands for workforce and increase the talent for the “new” future of work technicians for semiconductor and aerospace. This access can change lives with skills resulting in  high paying jobs.  AzAMI now serves all of Maricopa colleges and shares Advanced Manufacturing best practices regionally and nationally to better connect industry with certified technicians and grow lifelong learning skills for our Arizona students.
