About

The Windmill Winery’s blend of rural authenticity and subtle elegance makes it one of the most unique venues in Arizona. The history of the property indicates that it was Arizona’s first brickyard, established in 1906. Many of the historic buildings throughout Arizona were built by these handmade bricks. Some of these bricks were salvaged and are used today for our grand entrance at the Windmill, many of the pathways, and our ceremony site- The Arches. The vast property boasts two lakes, lush greenery, two special event venues; The Big Barn, built in 1910 that was moved piece-by-piece to the Windmill from Green Bay, Wisconsin and our Hampton's-style Lake House built from reclaimed lumber from the Rodeo Chediski fire. Our Tasting Room is housed within a 1920’s dairy barn. In 2010, the Windmill began its own label of wine and now is currently produced in close partnership with Odyssey Cellars in Wilcox, Arizona. Our five signature wines are 100% Arizona grown grapes: Symphony, Pinot Grigio, Granada, Pinotage, and Alicante Bouschet. Each of our bottles shows imagery of our property. In addition to being highly sought after wedding & special event venue, The Windmill Winery actively hosts a variety of seasonal weekly events at the Tasting Room, such as tractor tours, paint & pours, live music & food trucks, and game nights. It’s also the location of Cowboy Church, the annual Dionysus Dash 5k and a variety of other special events. Seasonal hours of operation are October-May: Wednesday & Saturday, 1-7pm Thursday & Friday, 1-10pm
