The Mesa Government Affairs Committee was created to focus on legislative practices and decisions affecting all professional establishments. This group helps local business owners stay up to date on relevant information occurring at every tier of government.
When convened, experts from local, state, and federal levels of office speak on topics that pertain to all organizations. Topics have previously included taxation, business regulation, education, economic development, transportation, and immigration.

About Thomas Galvin
Thomas Galvin is the Vice Chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, representing District 2, which encompasses the East Valley municipalities of Scottsdale, Mesa, Carefree, Fountain Hills, and parts of Phoenix, Apache Junction, and Tempe. Maricopa County is the fourth largest county in the United States with a population of over 4.5 million people. Thomas represents more than 900,000 residents as a Supervisor.
He was elected to the Board in November 2022. Thomas has identified one guiding principle while working as a Supervisor, “Protect the Maricopa County Taxpayer.” His issues of interest are supporting our police and law enforcement officers, fighting violent crime, keeping taxes low, and promoting economic development.
Thomas serves as a member of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) Board of Directors, the PHX East Valley Partnership Board of Directors, the Maricopa Association of Governments Regional Council, and the Canada-Arizona Business Council.
Thomas practices law in the Valley. He earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame.
Thomas and his wife are raising their young son in District 2.
About Danny De Hoog
Danny De Hoog serves as the Director of the Public Safety Funding Committee for Maricopa County. She has worked in the Government Relations Department for eight years where she represents the County at the federal, state and local levels. She serves at the Vice President of the National Association of County Intergovernmental Relations Officers, an organization that encourages collaboration between county governments nationwide. She is also a member of the Valley Young Professionals Board of Directors, an organization focused on supporting young professionals by providing networking, education, and volunteer opportunities. Danny received her Bachelor’s in Political Studies from Trinity Western University and Masters in Public Administration from Arizona State University.
About Page Gonzales
Page Gonzales is the founder of Monte Vista Policy. She has over twenty-eight years of experience in government operations, policy development, and senior management. A trusted advisor to elected officials, Page has successfully navigated complex political landscapes, achieving significant policy wins. As Vice President of Government Affairs and Community Relations for the Arizona Board of Regents, she advocated for initiatives supporting students and enhancing the state's university enterprise. Page’s experience also includes serving as Chief of Staff for the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, District 2 where she was a member of a cross-functional leadership team that developed budgets, addressed daily complex operational challenges and implemented innovative solutions for a streamlined government. Page was also Policy Director under Governor Janice K. Brewer overseeing a staff of policy advisors. In this capacity, she played a crucial role in formulating and executing the administration's policy initiatives. She also served as State Relations Director for the Maricopa Community Colleges. Her experience in this role equipped her with a nuanced understanding of higher education advocacy and the intricacies of local governance. Born and raised in Arizona, Page holds a Master's in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice, both with honors from Arizona State University.
