Join the Government Affairs Committee as we welcome Alejandro (Alex) Chaparro, Border Community Liaison for the Casa Grande Border Patrol Station in Arizona.
About Alejandro (Alex) Chaparro
Alex Chaparro is the Border Community Liaison for the Casa Grande Border Patrol Station in Arizona. Agent Chaparro began his U.S Border Patrol career in 2003, as a member of Class 558, and was assigned to the Casa Grande Border Patrol Station, Tucson Sector.
Agent Chaparro is currently an Explorer Advisor, a member of the Oral Hiring Board, a Fitness Coordinator, a Health and Safety Officer, and a Union Steward. He maintains his CDL and drives passenger buses and tow trucks for the Border Patrol. He is certified in all-terrain vehicle (ATV) operations and is a certified Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operator (sUAS).
Agent Chaparro presently serves in multiple capacities. He is the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) Coordinator and holds instructor certifications in Less-Lethal Tactics, Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) and CPR. Through these roles he helps ensure Border Patrol agents are well trained and prepared to respond to a wide range of situations.
About Government Affairs Committee
The Mesa Government Affairs Committee was created to focus on legislative practices and decisions affecting all professional establishments. This group helps local business owners stay up to date on relevant information occurring at every tier of government.
When convened, experts from local, state, and federal levels of office speak on topics that pertain to all organizations. Topics have previously included taxation, business regulation, education, economic development, transportation, and immigration.
