About Los Sombreros: 

Los Sombreros has earned its reputation as the Valley’s ultimate locally-owned Mexican food eatery since opening its doors in 1994. The restaurant's loyal following starts within as team members have been with Los Sombreros for decades, including current owners (and former Los Sombreros employees) Kurt Riske and Geoff Schuman. Together they purchased the Scottsdale location in June 2017 and the Mesa location two years later. Inspired by Oaxaca, the culinary capital of Mexico, Los Sombreros is serving up authentically elevated, contemporary-casual Mexican dishes created by twice-nominated James Beard Award Chef Jeff Smedstad. The mission is to provide food using natural ingredients, bold flavor profiles, textures, and colors, starting with scratch-made salsas and sauces.
