Description
About WBC:
Women’s Business Connection is a member-driven initiative to empower women in business. The goal is to offer useful information that is designed for professional and personal growth. This monthly program provides an uplifting environment that fosters female collaboration and support within the business community. (Lunch provided by Holiday Inn & Suites)
Welcome Dana Martinez
Dana Martinez, Director of Domestic and Sexual Violence Services, has worked for A New Leaf for over 27 years. She holds a Professional Certificate in Non-Proft Management from ASU’s Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Innovation. During her career, she has had the unique opportunity to oversee both victim service programs and programs for people experiencing homelessness. In addition to developing and overseeing programs Dana has been involved in various community collaborations over the years including two previous appointments to Arizona Supreme Court’s Committee on the Impact of Domestic Violence in the Courts, serving on Fatality Review Teams, and participating on MAG’s Coordinated Entry Collaborative. Dana is currently serving as Board Vice President for Arizona South Asians for Safe Families. Her service in each of these partnerships has provided her with an in-depth understanding of the integral role of community collaborations in responding to those in need in our community. In her spare time, Dana enjoys spending time with her family and her amazing grandchildren, cooking Mexican food, going to the movies, paddleboarding, and watching crime dramas.
