Join us for a joint committee meeting with Government Affairs and Mesa Retail to hear from Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell on Friday, May 17 at 7:30am.

Organized Retail Crime (ORC) is a concerning issue in Maricopa County, distinct from typical shoplifting. The effects of ORC can be significant, leading to increased costs for businesses, which can impact prices for consumers. By being vigilant and informed about the presence of ORC, the public can play a crucial role in helping to mitigate its negative impact on local businesses and the community. Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell will cover reporting procedures and tips for retailers and shoppers, as well as discuss MCAO’s ‘Safe Shopping’ Campaign, recent ORC prosecutions, and ways to combat ORC.
