Women's Business Connection Featuring Maricopa Community Colleges Deanna Villanueva-Saucedo

The Women's Business Connection is a member driven initiative to create an event to benefit women business owners or women team members. Our goal is to have speakers that will offer educational, useful information that is applicable in professional and/or personal growth.

About Deanna Villanueva-Saucedo:
Deanna Villanueva-Saucedo is the Director of Community Engagement for Maricopa
Community Colleges. A native Arizonan, Deanna graduated with a BA in psychology and
Masters in Public Administration from Arizona State University.

Prior to working in education, Deanna was employed by the City of Mesa as a neighborhood outreach coordinator working with neighborhood groups in central Mesa. She began her career at downtown Mesa church coordinating youth programs and Hispanic ministry.

Deanna currently serves on the board of directors for A New Leaf, Mesa Association of Hispanic Citizens, Arizona Town Hall, East Valley Partnership, and the Mesa Foundation for Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion. She has provided strategic planning assistance for many of these groups in addition to HandsOn Greater Phoenix, the Hispanic Nurses Association, Arizona Business & Education Coalition, Arizona Minority Education Policy Analysis Center, National Community College Hispanic Council, among others.

She is a 2014 graduate of the Flinn-Brown Civic leadership academy, 2012 recipient of Valle del
Sol Profiles of Success leadership award, 2017 Mesa Citizen of the Year, and remains an active
member of her community. In her free time, Deanna enjoys spending time with her family and
home menagerie of four dogs, two tortoises, backyard chickens, and one potbelly pig.
