Job description- Sales Exterior Plus LLC is a local roofing company with an office located in Mesa, AZ. Our company is expanding and we are currently looking for a results-driven Sales Representative with excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage client prospects.
Job Summary: The Sales Representative generates leads, builds relationships with clients, and provides excellent customer service to establish long-term relationships. Identifies clients' needs, sells products and services in a compelling way, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Obtain new clients through referral sources, networking, cold calling, door knocking and leads etc.; Use calls, emails, and other methods to identify new sales opportunities
Meet or exceed client expectations and achieve sales goals
Monitor all projects from start to finish, collaborating with the Production Manager throughout the project.
Ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner to exceed the clients’ expectations, as well as ensuring they are executed to Exterior Plus standards.
Communicate, daily, all leads, clients, and referrals through CRM system, Job Nimbus.
Answer questions, explaining product features, and negotiating sales
Effectively recommend products to prospects Collaborate with client’s insurance carrier to ensure coverage is extended for loss sustained. Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to understand the product's features and benefits, so they can provide customers with information
Ability to listen closely to customers and respond appropriately to build rapport and close the sale
Ability to provide excellent customer service to cultivate client referrals, loyal customers, and repeat business
Ability to complete multiple tasks each day, such as meeting sales quotas, completing paperwork, attending training sessions, and conducting sales calls
Ability to connect and work with potential customers whose needs and interests align with the product or service offering
Ability to identify and solve customers’ problems Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in business related field, or HS diploma with equivalent education and experience
At least five years of sales experience, preferably in roofing or construction
Basic understanding of roofing systems, materials, and installation processes
Strong organizational skills to manage appointments, follow-ups, and project timelines
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing, both with customers and by phone
Ability to negotiate effectively to find common ground, overcome objections, and reach mutually beneficial agreements with customers
Ability to build rapport with potential customers, understand their needs, and explain how their products or services can address those needs Certifications and Licenses
A valid driver’s license is often required for traveling to job sites and client meetings
Certifications from roofing industry associations (e.g., NRCA, GAF certification) can enhance credibility and knowledge Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, often required when inspecting roofs or attending job sites
Comfort and ability to climb ladders and access rooftops for inspections, which may involve navigating uneven or sloped surfaces
Ability to bend, kneel, or crouch to inspect roofs and related structures closely
Occasionally lifting and carrying materials or equipment, typically not exceeding 25-50 pounds
Basic hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling tools and materials during inspections
Good balance for safely navigating rooftops and ladders
Good vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses, to accurately inspect roofs and identify potential issues
Adequate hearing ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members, often in noisy environments
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind
Tolerance for exposure to dust, debris, and other typical conditions found at construction or roofing sites
Ability to drive to various locations, requiring a valid driver's license and, often, access to a reliable vehicle
Willingness to travel frequently within a designated territory to meet with clients and conduct inspections
