MESA, ARIZONA (Dec. 16, 2024) – Legacy Retirement Residence of Mesa, a Western States Lodging and Management (WSLM) assisted living and memory support community that serves the greater Mesa community, embraced the holiday spirit with a magical Polar Express Party and movie event for children in need Sunday afternoon.

In collaboration with Sunshine Acres Children’s Home, this heartwarming celebration is part of Western States Lodging and Management’s annual “Be Loving” campaign, a testament to their commitment to foster meaningful connections and acts of compassion. The children of Sunshine Acres Children’s Home — an organization that supports children who have been separated from their parents — were invited to join residents at Legacy Retirement Residence of Mesa for an enchanting afternoon. The community was transformed into a Polar Express wonderland. Children received a Gold Ticket for entry and a Silver Bell to keep as a memento. The event featured a:

· Screening of “The Polar Express” on the projector.

· Hot cocoa bar, cookie decorating and popcorn stations.

· Special visit from Santa Claus, who will meet each child and present them with a small ornament gift.
