MCC Arts Department Announces Fall Events for the Community

MESA, Ariz. – September 9, 2025 – The Arts at Mesa Community College (MCC) announces its fall line up of performances with impressive and affordable entertainment options for the community–some performances are free and others have admission prices starting at $6.

The MCC Art Gallery will host the work of Artist Capri Landi In Phases - Capri Landi Sept. 2 - Oct. 9. Landi states that her paintings invite “calm, connection, and pause.” Venue is open Monday - Thurs. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and admission is free. 

Beyond, a group exhibition of mixed media paintings by local artists Amy Floyd, Nestor De Los Santos, Herb Schultz and Todd West, will be on display in the MCC Art Gallery Sept. 2 - Oct. 9. Venue is open Monday - Thurs. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and admission is free.

MCC Music & Dance Department Presents: Maurice Ravel - 150th Anniversary Music Celebration Piano Concert on Saturday Sept. 27,  7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. MCC students, faculty, and community guests will perform beloved works by Maurice Ravel, a master of French Impressionism, showcasing music filled with rich, shimmering textures, intricate colors, and magical melodies. Admission is free.

To honor students and begin the Fall Season, MCC Orchestra joins with Red Mountain High School students to perform a special concert on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Art Center (PAC). Tickets start at $6.

The In Phases - Capri Landi and Beyond exhibits continue through Oct. 9

The MCC Concert Band, Community Band and Community Orchestra begin the 2025-26 concert season with a noteworthy concert on Thursday October 2, 7 p.m. at Performing Arts Center. Tickets start at $6.

MCC Music Department Presents an exceptional concert of Jazz Big Band Music featuring MCC Jazz Ensemble students and the Mesa Performing Arts Jazz Ensemble (MPJE). Students and professional musicians join with Piano Extraordinaire Nick Manson in this unique concert on Tuesday October 7, 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, tickets start at $6.

MCC Concert Choir & Vocal Jazz Ensemble perform a festive concert featuring an eclectic selection of warm seasonal favorites alongside contemporary twists on ancient choral music on Thursday October 9, 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, tickets start at $6.   

MCC Music Department Presents: Desert Echoes Flute Project Concert, Arizona’s premiere flute ensemble organization with a performance on Friday October 10, 7:30 pm at the MCC Performing Arts Center, tickets start at $6.

MCC Theatre presents “The Explorers Club” a comedic play set in 1879 about an all-male club of adventurers who must accept a woman into their ranks if they want information on her groundbreaking discovery. Escapades ensue with mad science, deadly cobras, irate Irishmen and even the invention of an airship! Performances are October 10 - 18 at the MCC Theatre, tickets start at $10.
