Mesa Community College hosts “The Art of Conflict: Turning Tension into Transformation”
MESA, Arizona – February 3, 2026 – The Psychology Department at Mesa Community College (MCC) invites the community to attend The Art of Conflict: Turning Tension into Transformation on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This free event is open to the public and part of MCC’s Evening Lecture in Psychology Series.
The event will take place in the Community Room (LB-145) on the first floor of the Paul A. Elsner Library (Building LB11) at MCC’s Southern & Dobson Campus, located at 1833 West Southern Avenue, Mesa, AZ 85202.
The evening will be led by Travis Webb, LCSW, a licensed therapist with 17 years of experience specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma and relationships. Webb offers cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), trauma release exercises (TRE) and person-centered and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). He is passionate about creating a community that provides accessible mental health healing and resources.
Held each semester, MCC’s Evening Lecture in Psychology Series features guest speakers with diverse psychology backgrounds. Past presenters include Dr. Philip Zimbardo, distinguished former president of the American Psychological Association.
A second free lecture on creativity is scheduled on April 7, 2026 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Details will be announced soon.
