Mesa Community College Launches exclusive Apple IT Courses for Spring 2026

Press Release

New Apple Device Support course debuts with tuition reimbursement opportunity

MESA, Ariz.-- Dec. 22, 2026 — Mesa Community College (MCC) is launching new and continuing Apple-focused information technology (IT) courses in Spring 2026, providing students a unique pathway to build in-demand skills and earn industry-recognized credentials.

The pathway begins with a new, non-credit Apple Device Support course starting January 2026, followed by the Jamf Training Foundation credit course beginning in March 2026. Both courses are offered exclusively at MCC and delivered in a hybrid in-person format.

As part of the inaugural offering, students who successfully complete the Apple Device Support course will receive tuition reimbursement for Spring 2026, representing a total value of $545 for tuition and the certification exam.

“As organizations increasingly rely on Apple technology, there is a growing need for professionals who can support and manage these systems,” said Carl Cortez, MCC Computer Information Systems faculty and instructor for both half-semester courses. “These courses give students hands-on experience with the tools used in real-world IT environments while preparing them for respected industry certifications.”

New course: Apple Device Support (Non-Credit)

The Apple Device Support course, starting Jan. 20, introduces the skills needed to support and troubleshoot Apple devices in large organizations as a Level 1 or Level 2 help desk professional. Students gain hands-on experience with iOS 26, iPadOS 26 and macOS Tahoe, focusing on device setup, management and diagnostics. The course also includes one free certification exam.

Continuing course: Jamf Training Foundation (3 Credits)

Beginning in March, the Jamf Training Foundation course may be taken as a stand-alone option or as a continuation of the Apple Device Support course. The class focuses on Jamf, a leading Apple device management platform used by IT departments nationwide and prepares students for Jamf Certified Tech credentials, including Jamf 100, 170 and 200.

Capstone and career experience

Students completing the Jamf course may advance into a capstone experience through a mentorship with the MCC IT Department. Qualified students may also be connected with industry partners for internship opportunities.

Enrollment

Students may enroll in the Apple Device Support course, the Jamf Training Foundation course, or both.
