Maximillian Vokoun

Mesa Community College student awarded prestigious SBE Scholarship

MESA, Arizona – Dec. 23, 2025 –  Mesa Community College (MCC) student Maximillian Vokoun has been named a 2025 recipient of an Ennes Educational Foundation Trust Scholarship from the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE), earning the Robert D. Greenberg Scholarship. Vokoun, selected as one of five scholarship recipients nationwide for 2025, was recognized for his academic achievement, technical expertise and commitment to the broadcast engineering field.

The Ennes Educational Foundation Trust awards annual scholarships to students pursuing education and careers in broadcast engineering and technology. Each scholarship provides $3,000 to support educational expenses. Recipients are selected from a competitive national pool of applicants based on merit, experience and future potential in the broadcast and media technology industry.

Maximillian Vokoun is one of five recipients to be awarded the prestigious SBE Scholarship.

A resident of Mesa, Vokoun is currently studying electrical engineering at MCC. In addition to his coursework, he works as a broadcast engineer at KTVK/KPHO and serves as head of broadcasting for RelayArt LLC, a live broadcasting company he co-founded to provide production services for local organizations and high schools.

Vokoun credits his time at MCC as foundational to both his education and career development. While attending the college, he worked as an audiovisual technician, gaining hands-on experience in soldering, system termination, troubleshooting and broadcast system infrastructure, skills that directly translate to his current work in broadcast engineering.

“The Robert D. Greenberg Scholarship is particularly impactful as I move toward completing my formal education, and I am thankful to have been selected as a recipient,” said Vokoun. “MCC has supported me throughout my career, and the skills I gained working as an AV technician here directly prepared me for my work in broadcast engineering. Starting and continuing my education at MCC has been a natural fit as I grow through my degree.”

Looking ahead, Vokoun plans to grow his live broadcasting business while continuing to develop advanced broadcast systems using the skills he gains at MCC and through professional experience. His long-term goal is to contribute to large-scale live productions, including sports and event broadcasting across Arizona.
