The City of Mesa and Pipeline AZ Launch Job Connect Mesa

The platform brings together people, processes, and technology to provide a regional source for employees, training, jobs, and career guidance

MESA, Ariz. (May 28, 2024) — The City of Mesa Office of Economic Development and Pipeline AZ, a statewide nonprofit organization powering a career-ready talent pipeline for Arizona’s economy, have joined together to introduce Job Connect Mesa. The solution will support Mesa businesses and the community by engaging local employers and job seekers at a single connection point.Amplifying career awareness and development efforts through a holistic approach will ensure the city’s future workforce is connected to jobs in growing industries such as aerospace, semiconductors, electric vehicles, health care, and advanced manufacturing. This partnership connects employers and job seekers with Pipeline AZ’s education, business, and community partners statewide, including Maricopa County Community Colleges and Mesa Public Schools. Local Mesa companies looking for talent can tap into the large pool of up-and-coming workers.    

“For the employers in Mesa, the Job Connect Mesa platform is the technological infrastructure tailored to the needs of each individual business to ensure career readiness support across the complex and vast workforce spectrum,” said Jaye O’Donnell, City of Mesa Economic Development Director. “Job Connect Mesa fosters collaboration with local employers to support job seekers and future talent no matter where they are in their career journeys.”

The platform gives employers the ability to streamline, and enhance the ability to reach, connect and grow a robust talent pipeline and it gives students and job seekers advanced insights about the exact skills, training and education they need to reach their career goals” said Sally Harrison, president and CEO Mesa Chamber of Commerce. Upon completion of their profile, users will then have access to a variety of career exploration opportunities and information on work-based-learning experiences such as internships, further education, and other opportunities specific to Mesa employers. “Job Connect Mesa will enable community collaboration and is a win-win for our local job market.”
