About : Bobby-Q
Bobby Q Mesa has been serving the East Valley since opening its Mesa location in 2016, bringing together award-winning craft barbecue, premium steaks, handcrafted cocktails and bold Southwestern flavors. Family-owned and operated, Bobby Q Mesa is led by owner and operator Ignacio Del Rio, whose more than 40 years in the food and beverage industry help shape the restaurant's approach to food, hospitality and community.
At the heart of the kitchen is Chef Carlos Gallardo, who leads Bobby Q Mesa's culinary team. Chef Carlos combines traditional smoking techniques with creative culinary influences, including the restaurant's exclusive Mexi-Q offerings, a fusion of smoked barbecue and vibrant Mexican flavors unique to the Mesa location.
Great barbecue starts with the wood, and Bobby Q Mesa uses Mesquite and Almond wood to develop its signature smoke and flavor. The menu features smoked prime brisket, pulled pork, ribs, chicken and other BBQ favorites alongside wood-fired steaks and seafood.
Their steaks receive the same attention to detail. Bobby Q Mesa's current menu states that all steaks are wet-aged for a minimum of 65 days and hand-cut daily, delivering exceptional tenderness and flavor before they're cooked over the wood fire.
The Mesa restaurant also stands apart with its Mexi-Q menu, featuring creations such as Smoked Brisket Chile Rellenos, smoked brisket and pulled pork tacos, Chicken Chimi Fundido and Smoked Birria Ramen. Add in handcrafted specialty cocktails and a tap room featuring artisan beers and ales, and Bobby Q Mesa offers much more than a traditional barbecue restaurant
